Te Tiriti o waitangi

This week we have been doing hurumanu 1 that is 1 of the class we have been doing it is about Reading / Social Sciences.We have been leaning about the Te Tirti o waitangi .


The Maori population in 1830 was between 70-80,000

Two reasons for drop in population is war and diseases

The setup in 1833 was the united tribe of New Zealand

Sovereignty mean's chiefly authority "self-government"

kawanatanga mean's Govership

the amount of rangatira in the country signed the treaty is 40

    Well done on getting a blog post completed. You have listed some great facts about Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Most of your sentences are well written. I'm not too sure what this one is meant to mean; The setup in 1833 was the united tribe of New Zealand.
    Also, initially 40 rangatira signed the treaty at Waitangi, but then the treaty travelled around New Zealand and 500 rangatira ended up signing it.
